i overslept today,
Once Again.
yesterday overslept also haha!.
but this is really amazing today, i overslept today yet was EARLY for class alright!
last night i watched some movie with my sis, and slept at 2am, which was a BIG mistake!wanted to wake up at 6am, but i din hear the alarm so ended up at 7.30am. shouldn't have watched the movie since now is the hectic wk when i should be sleeping to rest. BUT, as last week's sermon said it all: God's Grace knows no Limit.
I guess it's all these little blunders and things in our daily life that we experience God and his love.
anyway, back to my story..
managed to reach Hougang Interchange to catch the shuttle bus at 7.45 thanks to MUM! who drove me there, whhheeeee, it's a little scary when she speeds heehee.. yeah, and the MOST amazing thing is, i got the LAST seat on the shuttle bus! and for this I give thanks because i truly felt that my Daddy gives grace to me! (cuz i overslept, din have time to do devotion in the morning) It's as though he is saying, It's OK, TRY again next time, and don't have any regrets for your next re-test.
haha! and yeah , some random nick on the words will flow set me thinking on this Flow thing, and i think it helped me quite a bit.
and now it's break, i better work on my essay. Jiayous all out there who are stuggling with work, the One you trust is faithful and He will surely be there to see you through!
Daddy, you are my Life.Labels: daily rumblings

maybe i am a workhaholic.
this sem i want
so much to up my GPA, because it dropped last sem, which undeniably, i am disappointed slightly.(Ok, maybe not slightly, but maybe quite, cause i'm uncertain of where i can go with an average GPA) but i REFUSE to allow it to take over my life because i've learnt my lesson in the first sem, and i don't want to take a re-test.
this two weeks are gonna be HECTIC! but i REFUSE to allow work to become the top priority in life, because Life is more than just work.
In my life you’re all that matters
In my eyes the only truth I see
When my hopes and dreams have shattered
You’re the one that’s there for me
WHATEVER i do, i wanna work at it with ALL my heart, as working for you Lord, and not for Man (and that includes myself).
Imagine me without You
I’d be lost and so confused
I wouldn’t last a day, I’d be afraid
Without You there to see me through
Daddy, you are my life.Labels: thoughts and lyrics

Crazy stuff we do for Group Management,
Experiencing non-conformity! Sitting at the steps to block people's path. and ML sat in the middle of the road!
Today when i first woke up, i was beginning to internalise the amount of work that needs to be done this week.
Essay, Study for WorkIC test (10 chapt), GrpMgt Report (next fri), Speech Com test next week.
I don't noe how to finish so much work! in sucha short time, and there's children camp this weekend.. HMMMMMMMM...
Anyway, yesterday's sharing in church was a very good reminder. A video of The Accident is shown, it's about how this young toddler was badly burnt in a terrible accident , and he recovered w a different outward appearance from the rest of us.
"They can take away my fingers, they can take away my looks, but they can never take away who i am inside. Who i am is a gift from God and it can never be taken away from me."

Identity Crisis?

Some article interesting to read, on Identity. From Christianity Today.
The question "Who am I" cannot be answered without first answering the question "Who are we?" We cannot conceive of ourselves (without stumbling into mere abstraction or doing violence to who we are) until we conceive of the other.
At a very practical level, no human life can survive without the reciprocation of love. Thus, our primary duty in life is not to find ourselves, to develop our gifts, or to make sense of life. Instead, we are called to
love others so that they can come into existence, while they do the same for us.
That includes the miracle of creating babies, but it also means we can bring already breathing beings into existence. A simple example: As a teenager, my church youth director told me he wanted me to prepare a devotional for one of our weekly meetings. I objected, saying I was not ready or capable of doing so. He said I was being silly, that I was indeed ready, and insisted I prepare the devotional. I've had many such encounters in my life, when people have seen something in me that I have not seen in myself, and they have called it forth, out of the chaos. They have created me, that is, made me who I am today.
Sharing a meal or conversation, even sitting in silence with another, are acts that validate the existence of the other. Even we introverts recognize that life would be unbearable—I mean this literally; I would likely commit suicide—if we didn't have people in our lives. People like me may find it difficult to create or sustain intimacy, but because intimacy is available to entice (and frighten!) me, my life is not only bearable but also possible.
This all starts from the fact that
we are first loved by God into existence, an existence framed by the Trinity-in-love, the image into which we have been created. Thus, we share in the mission of this Trinity, which is to create and sustain other beings in love.
That is not only our mission, but also our very identity: beings in relationship, beings defined by love. Because to love is to suffer, we might not want to be defined by this! But Jesus never said "abundant life" would be an easy life, only a blessed one.

True Friends

A True Friend
The Bible gives examples of good and bad friends, and we can learn from both.
By Mark Moring
A good friend looks a lot like …
… Ruth, who was loyal even when times got tough. When her mother-in-law, Naomi, lost her husband and both sons (one of them was Ruth's husband), Naomi decided to move far away to deal with her grief. She told Ruth to stay behind, but Ruth said no way: "Don't urge me to leave you … Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay." (See Ruth 1:1-22)
A bad friend looks a lot like …
… Pharaoh's cupbearer, who didn't have a clue about showing appreciation. While in prison with Joseph, the two became friends. Joseph promised the cupbearer that he would soon be freed from prison and given a new chance at life—great news indeed! But when the cupbearer got out of jail, he "did not remember Joseph; he forgot him." (See Genesis 40:1-23)
A good friend looks a lot like …
… Jonathan, who would do anything, even risk his life, for a friend. Jonathan's dad, King Saul, was jealous of David, Jonathan's best bud. When Jonathan heard his dad wanted to kill David, he hatched a plan to save his friend's life. Jonathan modeled the ultimate friendship when he told David, "Whatever you want me to do, I'll do it for you." (See 1 Samuel 20:1-42)
A bad friend looks a lot like …
… Ahithophel, who betrayed King David by befriending an enemy who wanted to overthrow the kingdom. Ahithophel was supposedly David's trusted counselor, but he gave lousy advice and spread vicious rumors about the king. He was the kind of "friend" David likely had in mind when he wrote Psalm 35:12-15: "They repay me evil for good. … Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth and humbled myself with fasting … I went about mourning as though for my friend. … But when I stumbled, they gathered in glee." (See 2 Samuel 15:12-17:23)
A good friend looks a lot like …
… Paul, who was great at helping friends grow in their faith—not only by encouraging them, but also by being bold enough to tell them when they'd messed up. One side of Paul would say (as he did to his friend Philemon): "Grace to you and peace … Your love has given me great joy and encouragement" (v. 3-7). Another side of Paul told friends when to shape up, but always with grace: "I always thank God for you … I am not writing this to shame you. … It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you. … Flee from sexual immorality … Honor God with your body." (See 1 Corinthians 4:14-6:20)
A bad friend looks a lot like …
… Judas, who often acted like a friend, but put his own self-interests above everything else. He followed Jesus everywhere, yet was often guilty of faking it. Even when Jesus said Judas would betray him, Judas essentially replied, "No way! Not me!" He continued his charade to the moment of betrayal, by giving Jesus a kiss on the cheek, to which Jesus said, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" (See Matthew 26:15-17, 25; Luke 22:47-48)
A good friend looks a lot like …
… Jesus, who was the ultimate friend to everyone. He was compassionate, encouraging, patient, loyal, understanding, loving. The best way to be a good friend is to be like Christ, to "clothe" ourselves with the things of God, as it says in Colossians 3:12-17. That's the ultimate definition of what a good friend looks like.
